Cool location....mostly unknown to the general public. Stumbled upon this camp ground on a motorcycle trip a few years back and got lost inside the park for an hour...lol
great patch of bluebonnets, great views of the lake....going to go camping here soon so was checking out the layout of the park
Love this campground. Large campsites.
When the Bluebonnets are in bloom in a goid year for them, this place is amazing, with picnic tables at the peninsula that juts out into the river for a scenic spot to eat. It's also a favorite spot for kayakers and fishermen. Downside are the fish remains scattered in the grass. So watch your step near the shore.
Great place to take the family for camping. Though, it lacks a playground but, who needs one when there's so much nature to enjoy.
